Funeral services for Rudolph “Rudy” Stapleton, Jr., 69, of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 21, 2013 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Bro. Richard Crockett and Bro. Ron Lowe will officiate. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mr. Stapleton was born October 16, 1944 in Columbia, LA and passed away December 18, 2013 in West Monroe, LA. He was a retired truck driver and served in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Stapleton was a member of Calhoun Assembly of God and was also a member of the church board. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph Stapleton Sr. and Marie; 2 sisters, Janice Shamblin and Judy Reynolds. Mr. Stapleton is survived by his wife, Joyce Stapleton; daughters; Stacey Williams, Yvette Lenard and Dickie Travis, and Teresa Fogle; sons, Brett Stapleton and wife, Donna, Rodney McMillon and wife, Gina; brothers, Jimmy Stapleton and wife, Cindy and Johnny Stapleton and wife, Judy; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his faithful and beloved canine companion of many years, “Sweetie.” Pallbearers are Johnathon Stapleton, Scott Williams, James Aday, Joe Henderson, Charlie Terry and Tony Arroyo. Honorary pallbearers will be Duane Emken and Albert Wells. A special thanks to Dr. Jacquelyn Carter and the staff at Southern Care Hospice.
