Funeral services for Shirley Ganey, age 89, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 20, 2017, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Rev. Eugene Brown will officiate. Interment will follow at Rocky Branch Cemetery.Shirley was born June 26, 1928 in Rocky Branch, LA and passed away after a brief illness on December 17, 2017 in West Monroe, LA. She was a charter member of Rocky Branch Assembly of God and was the owner of three Bonanza Family Restaurants for many years. Two husbands precede Shirley in death, Buck Ganey and Bill Moncrief; brothers, Raymond Gates, Coot Gates, Dick Gates, Ira Gates, and Jack Gates; sisters, Evelyn Tatum and Mary Lou Bollier.Shirley is survived by daughter, Judy Albritton and husband Richard; granddaughters, Amy Albritton, Jennifer Bowen and husband, Spencer; great-granddaughter, Lindsey-Kathryn Bowen; brother, James Gates.Pallbearers will be Thomas I Gates, Irvin Tatum, Ronald Gene Gates, Gerald Gates, Dusty Gates, Bassel Mahgoub, Samer Mahgoub, Charlie Gates and Faris Mahgoub.Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.Kilpatrick Funeral HomeWest Monroe, LA
