Funeral services for Shirley Ann Knight will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 23, 2020, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of Monroe. Officiating will be Brother Roger Stoffer. Interment will follow at McKnight Cemetery in Holly Ridge, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of Monroe.Shirley was born on April 12, 1938, in Rayville, LA and passed away on January 21, 2020, in Monroe, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Wilson Knight; son, Billy Knight; parents, Millard Parker and Leola Claunch; brothers, Bobby and John Parker.She is survived by son; Jimmy Knight, Sr. (Debbie); daughters, Judy Kirby (David) and Peggy Knight all of Monroe; grandchildren, John Knight (Renae), Jimmy Knight, Jr. (Kathy), Kelly Moore (Glenn), Justin Knight (Chelsea), Ashley Jones (Josh) and Paige Black (Chad); sisters, Bonnie Parker of Monroe, Lisa Waldrop (Greg) of Eros; 17 great grandchildren; and many special nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.She was a lifelong member of Memorial Baptist Church. Shirley grandchildren loved playing the favorite game with her. Shirley response never waivered Each one of my babies has a special place in my heart. The truth was that John just had the largest portion of her heart.Honoring Shirley as pallbearers will be Quincey Hammett, Jamie Renfrow, Garrett Knight, Curtis Brady, Tommy Hays and Hunter Knight. Honorary pallbearers will be John Knight, Jimmy Knight, Jr., Justin Knight and David Kirby.In the words of Shirley, she is now In God Hands.Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of Monroe.
