A Memorial Service for Susan K. Hamilton of Ruston is scheduled for 11:00, Saturday, November 12, 2022, at The Bridge Community Church, 2301 N. Trenton St., Ruston, LA 71270, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes – Ruston.

Susan K. Hamilton was born January 23, 1962, and passed from this life on October 11, 2022, in Ruston Louisiana, following a brief illness. She grew up in Port Sulphur, Louisiana. Following graduation, from Delta Heritage Academy, Susan moved to Ruston, LA. where she was employed at the dental office of Dr. Wesley O. Lynch for 42 years. She was loved by patients and staff.

Susan loved Lady Techsters basketball and volleyball. You could find her cheering on her Lady Techsters from her seat on the rail or working behind the scenes with the booster clubs. She enjoyed cooking. She was faithful to her Christian witness and especially enjoyed serving others by providing meals in times of joy and need. She was well known for her “bereavement” chicken. Susan enjoyed quilting and time spent with her circle of quilting friends who she loving called the “Roo Crew”. She was especially fond of animals and over the years amassed a menagerie of critters, mostly rescue.

Susan touched a vast array of lives, was loved by many, and will be missed. She is survived by her sister, Sandra Basford, of Houma; nephew, Richard James Armstrong and wife, Rita Allyson Armstrong, and their children, Donovan James Armstrong and Kendal Noel Armstrong, of Houma.
