Funeral services for Suzanne Maxwell will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 23, 2021 at Rowland Road Baptist Church in Monroe, Louisiana. Rev. Norman Bryant will officiate and interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park in Monroe, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. before the service on Friday, July 23, 2021 at the church.
Suzanne was born in Monroe, Louisiana on May 20, 1930 and passed away on July 20, 2021. She was a homemaker and a long time member of Rowland Road Baptist Church. Suzanne was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Maxwell; sisters, Ruth Beasley and Mamie Bell; parents, Edgar and Wilma Sholars; grandchildren Samantha Dickey and Brandon Dickey.
Suzanne is survived by her daughter, Lauren (Robert) Spillers; son, Mike (Leslie) Frantom; daughter, Nancy (Mike) Payton; son, James (Janita) Maxwell; son, Doug (Luanne) Maxwell; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 1 Great-great grandchild and many other cherished family and friends.
Suzanne had a great love for her Lord and Savior, her church, church family, her special friend, Brother Norman, of course her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. She had such a love for gardening and her flowers. Visitors traveled from afar to admire her daylilies and other beautiful flowers. She attended Faith Bible Institute for 30 years. She loved studying God’s word. She was a proud graduate of Neville High School.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Spencer Maxwell, Ryan Frantom, Jason Hill, Justin Hill and Trey Barber; great- grandson, Logan Mack.
