Funeral services for Troy Wade of West Monroe will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, July 7, 2019 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. before the service.Troy was born December 11, 1946 in Pineville, Louisiana and passed away on July 3, 2019 in West Monroe, Louisiana. He was retired from the shipping department at Bancroft Bag. Troy was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and husband. He was the backbone of our family, Troy was so selfless, always putting the needs of others before himself. He was the strongest and bravest man we knew. Troy was preceded in death by his daughter, Nay Nay Cunningham; parents, William Grady and Betty Littleton Wade.Troy is survived by his wife, Tammie Rison Wade; daughters, Jessie Grisham, Sherry Wade, Gail Rowland; step-son, Derrick Rison; grandchildren, Aiden, Caden, Noah, Heather, Marissa, Jacky, Adam, Link, Ryan; five great-grandchildren; brother, Roy Wade; sisters, Annie Mae Walters, Eva Lois Brown; many other cherished family and friends.

Mr. Wade was a great neighbor to us, always having a smile and a good word for everyone. He frequently stopped on his way walking home from Bancroft to talk with my (late) husband, Rick. Rick enjoyed those conversations with Mr. Wade, especially about all the cats which we had covering our porch, fence, etc. Seems Mrs. Wade loved cats also, so he could identify with our dilemma trying to raise a slew of kittens which had been dropped off in our driveway. I pray God will comfort the family and friends. Mr. Wade will be missed, especially by those in our neighborhood.
