Funeral services for Virgil Johnson 61 of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 23, 2012 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. David Mixon and Rev. Jesse Truitt will be officiating. Interment will follow at Frantom Chapel Cemetery, West Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mr. Johnson was born August 23, 1950 in Monroe, LA and passed away August 21, 2012 in West Monroe, LA. He was a refinery operator at Graphic Packaging for 42 years. Mr. Johnson attended Apostolic Church in West Monroe for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Sarah Johnson, a brother, Jackie Johnson and a sister Virginia Dowd. He is survived by a son, Josh Johnson; sister, Juanita Sexton; brothers, Douglas Johnson and wife Mary Beth and Danny Johnson and wife Elisabeth; aunt, Lavern Carter, special nephew, Tony Dowd, and a number of nieces and nephews, cousins, and special friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
