Funeral services for Virginia Skains Shaver, 82, of Ruston, LA will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Temple Baptist Church Chapel in Ruston. Rev. Dale Oden will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.Visitation will be Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 5:00 7:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA.Mrs. Shaver was born on November 6, 1936 in Simsboro, LA and passed away on August 10, 2019 in West Monroe, LA. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Audra West Skains; husband, John E. Shaver, Jr.; sister, Linda Skains Tiffin; and brother, Ronald Skains.She is survived by her daughter, Kim Shaver King and husband Terry of Ruston; three grandchildren, Christopher Otwell of Ruston; Jason King of Quitman; Cheyenne King Reemes and husband Alex of Rocky Branch, LA; five great grandchildren; brother, Donald Skains of Choudrant, LA; sister, Judy Skains Holstead of Choudrant, LA; brother, Richard Skains of Bryceland, LA; and sister, Debbie Skains Thomas of Shreveport, LA.Pallbearers will be Chad Hampton, Brian Addy, Randy Holstead, Tim Holstead, Clayton Ussery, and Mike Skains.Memorials may be made to the Mission Programs at Temple Baptist Church in Ruston, LA.Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com
