Wayne Hatcher Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA Memorial services for Mr. Wayne Hatcher, age 74, of Ruston will be 2:00 PM Friday, February 15, 2013 at Cook Baptist Church in Ruston under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Dr. Mike Holloway along with a detail from Barksdale Air Force Base conducting military honors. Mr. Hatcher was born October 1, 1938 in Steeleville, MO and passed away February 10, 2013 at his residence following a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He is preceded in death by his wife Winnie E. Hatcher; his parents: Alonzo James Hatcher and Opal Earney Hatcher; and a brother: David W. Hatcher. Wayne was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a member of Cook Baptist Church. He served in the United States Air Force for 6 years during the Vietnam Era where he worked on the flight line. Wayne retired from Frito Lay with 25 years of service. He is survived by his brother: Kenneth Hatcher and wife Lois of Franklin, TN; son: James W. Hatcher, Jr and wife Nena of Piedmont, OK; daughter: Lisa J. Hatcher Cerar and Tommy Thornton of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren: Ashley Hatcher; Macie Hatcher, and Keaton Hatcher of Cache, OK; Emma Armstrong and Ami Armstrong of Piedmont, OK and special friends; James Bryant and wife Sisie of Dubach, LA, Billy Rich and wife Frances of Ruston, LA, and Bobby Deprang and wife Mary of Keithville, LA , and Dottye Houck of Ruston, LA ; other nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or The Wounded Warriors Project.
