Eleanor, I never had to use Billy as a lawyer but I sure am glad I got to use him as a judge in one of my most important home tennis matches against Alabama in 1974. My deepest condolences and prayers go out to your entire family. May God Bless you. Terry Moor

"Billy" was a true friend to us in Norteast Louisiana. He served us well and kept the interest of the people he served above his own interest. Some people in politics today could learn from Billy. He will be missed. Thank you Billy for your help through the years you served as "our" Senator and friend.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

Dear Mrs. Brown and Family, I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you in my prayers. I will also keep the following wonderful memory of you and Mr. Billy. I often give the two of you credit for my love of politics. I remember receiving $5.00 for handing out Mr. Billy's political cards at the J.C. Penney's parking lot on Louisville when I was in high school. You gave a group of my friends and me a straw hat with a red, white and blue band around it and the cards and told us to hand them out. I loved it and Mr. Billy won!! Since then I've had a few campaigns of my own and I always give you two the credit for my start! He was a wonderful man!!

My Thoughts and Prayers go out to the Brown Family. I got to know Billy about 1990. I would go and work at the farm and it was a joy to just sit and talk and visit with him. I always admired Billy and can say my life was enriched by knowing him. I know he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

I first met Billy when I had just graduated from college, and he was my employer's attorney. I remember when he and Eleanor were in offices on 18th Street, and I helped address envelopes for his first run for office. At my young and impressionable age, Billy Brown's charm and charisma were so overwhelming that I would not have been surprised to look up and see him galloping through the gates of Bancroft Paper Company on a white horse. He was one of the most colorful characters I have ever had the distinct pleasure to work with.
