Bill has spent the last several years as part of our family. He and my Dad became good friends, both Veterans in rehab after heart problems. He wasn’t content at the nursing home. He drove to have breakfast with my Dad every morning, so my Father opened his home to Bill. He was very happy. We are a family who enjoys getting together, cooking, and celebrating the milestones of life. Bill called my sisters and me, “Sunshine.” He said he was so happy at my Dad’s house. He said he and my dad never shared one cross word. Bill was well-loved, cared for, kind, full of stories, and loved us all.

Bill was our neighbor in the Mikado apartments in Shreveport for years. He was like part of the family! we would cook and eat together and just have a great time! We kept up with him in the years to come after we left Shreveport and moved home to Ruston. But it has been several years since we’ve visited him in the assisted living place in Shreveport. He used to always call us and stop by in Ruston when he was coming through. He was truly a great friend, wonderful neighbor and a joy to be around!!! We will miss him but never forget him!
